Hi there:

I'm down with a strep throat.  It seems so much worse than I remember it
being before but I've got some antibiotics now so should be on the mend
pronto.  I get this whole scarletina thing going with it (big red rash) so I
look terrible!

To celebrate, Chester, the rat, stayed out the whole night and I was worried
sick about him.  Otis cuddled close and kept me warm while I had the chills.

take care!  Strep can lead to all kind of nasty things including
rheumatic fever.  Be sure to get your rest!

Isn't that terrible!!!  I've got it too-- I always seem to come down
with something as spring arrives, and I'm dying of cabin fever
already.

We'll send you extra purrs.

Otis is such a good little nurse! And that's a bad Chester!
Purrs to you!

See, Otis-the-Needy makes such a great *comfort* cat
in your time of need. They all have different purrsonalities
and Otis understands how you feel, whereas Chester-the-confident goes his
own way, assuming you need him
not....extra pets for Otis.

Exactly why this exasperating feline is such a special friend.  Chester is
special friend to my husband, who gets frustrated with Otis.  Otis put muddy
footprints on his newly washed car yesterday, for example :-)

What is the difference between Scarletina and Scarlet Fever.?  When my son
was about eight he got Scarlet Fever.  Of his playmates, one got Scarlet
Fever and one got what they said was Scarlet Fever without the rash.  My
son was very susceptible to strep.  He was one sick kid.  Good luck.   MLB

Poor Susan, purrs that you're better soon. I'm glad nurse Otis was
faithful.

I'm so sorry to hear that Susan.  I just got back from a weekend away
and just saw this, but am hoping that things are better now.  I've
never had strep, but did recently have acute bronchitis and it sucked.
I'm glad Otis is taking good care of you.  Vino isn't much of a nurse
cat, so I had to make do with Dennis ;-)

Ouch. Rest, be extra nice to yourself, and throw away your toothbrushes
so you don't re-infect yourself.
