Persia is terrified of thunder.  Except, wait a second... the skies are
rockin' but it's time to EAT!  Hide, or eat? Hide or eat?  Decisions,
decisions. :)

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

I sure at this point she would love to hide and eat!  ROFL

Awww, Stinky's terrified of them too.  He does the "creepin-Jesus"
crawl down to the basement.  I know he's not crazy about being alone,
either, so I go down to check on him.  He usually jumps into my arms,
but he won't come back up until the thundering stops.

Eat of course. <g> I love to go outside on the patio and watch the
storms. My younger cat Missy also loves storms. She'll come outside with
me and sniff around and watch the lightning and the rain. Thunder never
bothers her. But Psycho on the other hand. She'll run as fast as she can
at the first sign of a storm and hide under the bed. She did this
yesterday afternoon when a storm came by about 5pm. I didn't see her
until way after midnight when she felt it was safe to come out.

More are rolling in here, Bob.  I'm glad I got my grilling done yesterday.
I'll sit on the patio as long as it's not raining and watch the lightening.
I love a good thunderstorm!  Tornados I can do without, but been there, done
that, too.

In past years Sammy has been terrified by thunder. In fact she used to
predict coming storms, and go into hiding 30 - 45 minutes before I
heard the first boom. Here lately though it seems she may have
outgrown her fear, as she hasn't taken cover, just acted nervous and
gotten all big-eyed. Course we haven't really entered our storm
season, yet, just had a couple stray storms blow through. I suppose
it's a good thing if she's really getting over her fear, but I'll miss
going in and laying on the bed to reassure her as she hides under the
covers.
