I had to go on to my ISP server to get the pics, it was worth it, lovely
photos, Mary.  I like Duffy's big yawn.

Thanks.  The photo of Duffy yawning is my favorite in that group, too.

My normal server doesn't support any binary groups.  I am always in awe of
Duffy because he can't see and yet manages so well.  It's so kind of you to
look after him like you do.  A lot of people wouldn't even try.
Having had some sight problems myself, I admire your lad.

Thanks.  This is one of those occasions where I thought I would be doing
something good for Duffy by adopting him, but he has brought such joy to my
life that I can truthfully say that he has done at least as much for me as I
have done for him.  He has also shown me how well a cat can adapt to a
disability.  In fact, I really don't think of his blindness as a handicap
anymore.  He has compensated so well that people often don't know he is
blind until after they have observed him for several minutes.  Even then,
they aren't sure.  One of my neighbors was visiting last week, and he was
marveling at how Duffy will trot down the hall and automatically veer to
avoid a chair when he rounds the corner.  Both cats run after me almost
every time I move from one location to another, and that also amazed the
neighbor.  He kept saying, "are you *sure* he can't see anything?"  Of
course, I had those same doubts when I first adopted him.  A visit to the
ophthalmologist finally convinced me that Duffy really is totally blind and
has simply found a way to live a completely normal life without sight.

It's the jumping and climbing that amazes me.

And don't think you didn't do anything for him, Mary-- He gets along
amazingly, but you provide a very safe, consistent environment for him
in which he can flourish.

Thanks!  I'm always to accept some compliments.  ;o)  And, I really do
recognize some truth in your words.  He had been previously adopted for 2
years, then dumped back at a shelter (a *kill* shelter, but they did their
best to save him).  What kind of monster would do that to such a sweet
little guy??

Their loss. They didn't deserve him, but you do. Love the pics.
