What I find especially adorable is when a kitten does something very grown-up and serious-looking. Like meatloafing and looking very important, or grooming themselves thoroughly (but forgetting half-way through what they were doing because a greebling just went by). Scout and Silver insist on lying on the desk to keep me company. It's fine as long as it's only one of them, but if they both jump up then I have to vacate to make room! She seats herself directly in front of the monitor, and she can jump up at least one more time than I can put her back down on the floor. Persistent little pest! But so sweet, warm and furry that I eventually surrender. I'm sure Mere will learn the utmost importance of persistence, too.
