Last week Vino was unable to open the door to the spare bedroom that
was open a crack. He was scratching on it from the inside, pushing it
closed. He can pull open a door from the inside, he does it to our
bedroom door every single evening. So I was kind of disappointed when
he was acting so dumb with the other door.
Well, this morning, Vino was bugging me to get up and I woke up enough
to notice that I had to go to the washroom. I went and Vino followed
me, so I figured this would be a good opportunity to just leave him in
the bathroom and go back to bed in peace. I thought I'd just leave
the bathroom door open a crack to see if he would figure out how to
open *that* door. Well, within half an hour, he was back in bed
bugging me.
Yay! He's smart :-)
Boo! I got no sleep :-(

Our Smokey is a dumb bunny, but we love her anyway. Although she's better at
doors than Cali, who is fairly bright.

Does the other door open differently than yours by any chance? I remember
our Sam was left pawed. He could open cabinets that he needed his left paw
for, but could not open a right pawed one.

Well, the bathroom and spare bedroom open one way and our bedroom
opens the other way, so it's not that. Unless he just learned how to
do the other side and just needed some time to practice it? I should
try it again with the spare bedroom, just to see if he can do that one
now.

One very good thing about Wilson,{ of course there are more good things
about him} is that he's very good at night,he waits for me to get up, the
odd time he is impatient he'll tickle my toes with his teeth through the
covers.but when I snatch it away he'llleave it alone, as soon as he see's me
swing my legs over the side of the bed he'll roll over at my feet, like he's
saying 'hurray its time to get up'. Jean.P.

Oh, he was just testing you. Probably wanted you to get up and open the
door for him and you weren't smart enough to fall for it ;)

I'm very proud of Vino. He's a smart cookie after-all :-) I was pretty
worried after your last post. I mean, what kind of cat can't open an
unlatched door ;-)
