I've been meaning to ask... What is TED an acronym for anyway? I know it
means vet....but????
Anyway, Chablis had an abcess just above her front left paw, TED had a
couple of emergencies today so the poor little girl was there most of the
day.... I think she's a little mad at me. She's still quite groggy & did
the drunken stagger towards her food bowl when I got her home, when she
reached it, she sat down in a rather ungracefull fashion. Funny & pitiful
at the same time.
So the little girl is back on anti-biotics for a while & I'm REALLY glad
I got that pet insurance. With the location of this wound, I suspect her
hunting habbits will slow down for a while.....

I'm glad you took her in! TED is The Evil Doctor.

Cats are kinda fun when they do that drunken stagger, but in a pitiful sorta
way. So don't let them catch on, and they'll start doing it all the time
just for the pity/affection we give them when they do it...
On another note, a couple of years ago, Tennessee went in for a dental, when
we picked him up and brought him home later that afternoon, he was wanting
to stick to me like glue, following me, doing his best not to stagger, all
over the house. I went to the bathroom (nature called), and in he comes
(just DH & me + cats =barely closed bathroom door). He tried to jump up to
the edge of the tub (right next to the toilet), but didn't make it, and got
stuck with his front half *in* the tub, back half *out* of the tub. Poor
boy. He had the most pathetic "what happened?" look on his face... and all
I could do was laugh. I'm a mean Mommy!

Please, yes, pass that book on. We need to start putting names w/city &
state (or country) in it to track it! I shoulda thunk of it before I sent
it to Jill!

When I had it, we were doing names and dates (I followed Jill's lead).

The Evil Doctor. You know, he (or she) who smells funny, pokes,

We figure that's how the owners see vets. :-)

What pet insurance did you get? VPI or Petco or what?
I gather that because of a wound, they paid since not any possible
hassles or previous conditions or such?
I am thinking of VPI because they are the oldest and biggest,
Vet Pet Insurance.
Petco is second but I think their coverage depends on the state
and their secondary insurers so am a little more skeptical
of long term.

I'm in Canada & I have petplan. Underwritten by SecuriCan. The basic plan
is: $16.50 per cat per month. $100 deductable, after that it covers 80% of
everything (except mandatory shots) up to $2000 a year. Chablis has had a
few health issues & I started her on the insurance in Dec, as of this last
visit to TED, it's allready paid for itself.
Cheers

Thanks for replying. Would know it would be a man who would reply.
Now before all the women get up in arms, THAT's EXACTLY what someone
said to me, SuzieQ or someone, when Jill McQ answered her question
about how to fix a computer and missed that I had replied first.
Sexism is sexism regardless of the justification.
I was told I could not even mention I answered her query first since since men
discriminate against women so therefore as a man I am not allowed to complain,
so said Joyce who is not posting this year, which is fine.
Her argument was profoundly stupid. Until all women have salaries equal to men
I cannot say anything to correct a misconception, however minor. Well, well,
well.
I think it's time to prove it. I got angry but that does not help matters.
And if women discriminate against men if given a chance, we have not made any
progress.
And if I have to prove it, I will dredge up the posts from Google.
I think I will dredge up all the posts to show that 2 wrongs do not make a
right.
In any event, it's VPI in USA, same company. Thanks for your reply.
I am concerned about vet insurance and VPI is really the longest and most
well-known of the insurance carriers so far.

I am confoosed.

So was I. But I said here what the women said to me. And if it seems grossly
unfair, then that's how it seemed to me and put me off. But the best thing is
to calmly just prove my point since it's archived in Google. Two wrongs do not
make a right is the basic point involved. And if men discriminate against
women, then women, given a chance, do a turn-around and discriminate against
men, what have we learned? Nothing.

I am still confoosed. I thought it was a thread about insurance. It doesn't
matter though.
