What's up with Persia?

She's getting all 'feral' on me.  Persia is a gentle cat, but since
yesterday suddenly she's kicking and clawing and biting me when I pet her.
I haven't been able to figure out a 'sore' spot.  She's purring and loving
and snuggling and rubbing on me one minute, then she starts clawing and
biting and snarling the next.  This is not like her!  This tells me
something hurts, but I can't tell what or where.  She is eating well,
pooping and peeing, drinking regular amounts of water.  I'm puzzled.

She's not gonna like going to the vet but if she keeps this up, she's going.
Mommy doesn't like being scratched and bitten by her cat when all Mommy
wants to do is  pet the kitty or give her scritches.  Something is wrong.
Mommy just doesn't know what it is.

Maybe she doesn't appreciate the diet? I know I get grumpy at times when
I'm on a diet, so why not a cat? And as you say you haven't been able to
find any sore spot, I assume the change in behaviour doesn't occur when
petting some particular spot. IIRC she was on prescription food for some
ailment, right? Let's hope the food does its job. And hopefully it's
nothing serious but just something like a temporary tummy ache that
passes soon.

She's been on prescription food since last summer.  Not a change in diet
recently.  But now she's settled down and isn't doing the biting kicking
thing anymore.  Maybe it's the change of seasons?  Spring just kicked in
here.  I don't know, but she's back to her gentle, loving self again.  I
suppose cats can have moods like people do :)  Thanks, Christine.

Could it be kitty cat Spring Fever?

Psycho was like this for a day last week. She's normally very gentle
and kind just like Persia. I just tossed it up to it being Spring.
Psycho is back to her old loveable self again.
