Hi There!  I had to come out of lurkdom to post this story.  Regina is
257 kilometers (160 miles) south of "ToonTown" where I live. The story
made the provincial TV news broadcast.

A cat rode the rails in an unheated locked boxcar from Chicago all the
way to Regina, Saskatchewan (1853 kilometers - 1152 miles).  The trip
took 13 days.  When the boxcar was unlocked the cunductor found the cat
inside.  She was dirty (the boxcar was carrying tires) but in pretty
good shape considering.  She was pregnant but her kittens were premature
and did not survive :( . She's an illegal alien but the authorities are
going to let her stay anyway.  The conductor who found her is hoping to
adopt her.

Here's a link to the story.

Her perspective adopter looks very nice and doting. I'm so glad she is OK!

What a wonderful kitty, and what she had to do to get a home...I hope
she has a happy "retirement" from her career as a hobo.
