This has to be one of the sickest things I've seen. The link below goes
to a website where someone who rescued a baby bunny is threatening to
eat the bunny unless people cough up $50,000. I hope it is just a sick
joke. I know people around the world eat rabbits and I'm not
criticizing them at all but the extortion aspect is just sick.

Fear not--it's a joke.

It sounds like it was never serious, but now he has an excuse to sell
t-shirts.
Dig the picture of Toby in his own tee.

I totally agree about the extortion aspect, which is why just "everyone"
should ignore this, and let him eat the rabbit if he wishes. Rabbits get
eaten every day, just like chickens, ducks, geese, cattle, sheep, pigs etc.
It's like any hostage situation. As hard as it seems, if you give in once
to any sort of ransom you might as well write a blank cheque for other sick
people to keep doing it.

Oh, it's a sick joke for sure. Kind of like the Bonzai Kittens a few years
back. Just someone's idea of fun - not my idea of fun.

I agree that it's sick. On a lighter note, the humor magazine
National Lampoon had the highest sales of any issue when they came
out with a cover of a nervous looking dog with a revolver pointed at
its head. The caption was, "Buy this magazine or we'll shoot this
dog."

I remember that issue! No one raised a ruckus, but then again, it was the
1970's (?) and a humour magazine. Back then there were no Political
Correctness Police :)

I'd be inclined to blame it on "Spring Break", and some
college student's idea of a prank. (Like the flap over the
"bonsai kittens". a while back.)
