Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / March 2005Another shot of Otis and me sleeping
Hi there: Fred took another picture this AM. This time, Otis was pressed up against my face like he likes to be. He looks much more well groomed than I do :-) And like good animal/human companions, we look somewhat alike - we both have pointy noses :-) Also, a couple pictures on, after the Chester hand holding ones, there are some of Otis playing with the computer cursor. Now that is love. <smile> I don't allow my cats upstairs because I don't want them to disturb my sleep when I have to get up early to go to work. Otherwise, I probably would. I used to take a whippet to bed with me, when she got frail, and I was worried in case she fell in the night, which she sometimes did in the daytime. She could get wobbly at 18. Kitty is quite old, but a fierce little girl, she still can look after herself. She likes to climb on me if I dare to lie on the settee in the evening to watch TV. Tonight, I dared to lie on the settee to watch TV, a program about birds which I am very interested in. Almost immediately Kitty got on my chest to meatloaf, totally obscuring the TV. He's lovely My Henri RB used to sleep up close,and often finished up with his arm around my neck,one of my foster kids took a photo of us once and you could see his arm round my neck. Sleeping cats are so adorable. I like the one of Otis under the covers. The first winter I had Sundance, he slept under the covers with me a lot. I would go to bed and turn out the light, then a little later he'd come running upstairs, I'd hold the covers up, and he'd run right under.
