The meds seem to be helping Merlyn. She still isn't meowing quite as
much as normal (she is normally a *chatterbox*), but she's sounding
strong when she does.
I tried to do Cosmo's fluids yesterday myself, thinking making DH was
part of the problem. It was worse :-( So I am going to take him into
the vet in a few hours and have them do it. I'm hoping if we have the
vet do it a few times, it will break the cycle, and he might calm
down, so we can start doing it at home again. I sure hope so. The
vet is not close by, and it's very hard to find people to drive me
there, especially if it was every other day. Not to mention the
expensive, which we really can't afford. So I really, really hope a
few times in TED's territory will convince Cosmo that this is an okay
thing, and he will stop being Crazed Cosmo Cat at home when we go back
to trying this again. Wish me luck!

You are being such a good meowmie to Cosmo (and your other kitties). Thank
you so much.
Lots of purrs and best wishes for you to be able to give fluids again to
Cosmo really soon,

Glad that Merlyn is ok and I'm sorry about the struggle with hydrating
Cosmo. I hope that the trip to TED does the trip to convince him that its
better at home.

How long does he have to continue fluids? I really hope it gets better
when the vet does it and hope he is better at home. This is so hard on
you both. Purrs,

Pretty much the rest of his life :-(. We're starting to question all
of it right now, though. When I took him to the vet, he was thinking
perhaps he doesn't need fluids, or at least as often, as they
originally thought. I am going to try to go to every three days
instead of two, and watch him closely. Maybe his intense reactions to
them is telling me he doesn't need them as often as we originally
thought. We'll see, I guess. In the meanwhile, he's eating well, and
being normal, bright-eyed Cosmo.
