I'm talking with a potential employer located in Boise, ID. Does anybody
from the group live there?

I've never lived there, but I've been there.  It's a lot different than
Texas, but I'm from the Northwest, so I may be biased.  I really liked it
there.  However, having lived in Texas for the last 10 years, I would have
problems with the cold weather up there.
If you want to try something different, you might enjoy the place.  You
probably should visit before you decide.

Hmm, yes, you probably have a point.  How about looking at jobs in San
Jose instead?  If I were you, I would rather get a hot hole injection
than go through such a change in climate. :)

You can always put *on* more or warmer clothes. But if the weather is
hot, you can only take *off* so much, especially if you have to stay
decent...

As I have said before, my mother had a favorite way to describe hot,
humid weather: "I want to take off my skin and run around in my
bones!".  Ah, the joy of feeling the wind whistle through your ribs...

San Jose is way too crowded and expensive for us. We do love the Bay
Area though... if we were to win the lottery... :)

Indeed. When it's 115 degrees Farenheit (46 Celcius) and 100% humidity,
you can be nekkid and still be miserably hot... :)

Victor, posting from work.

Nope, but I've been there.  It's an interesting place.  Sorta dumped in
the middle of sage brush and left to grow.  It doesn't have all the
cultural opportunities of a big city, but it does have some stuff.  I
liked it there, but then I don't mind the heat and dry air.
