I wrote a few weeks ago how I was trying to get Oliver to eat wet food.
He seemed to have some conflicting feelings and would take a few bites
and then run away from the bowl.
Well, no more.
Now when I set his special wet food dish out on the breakfast bar where
I feed him he starts to meow/chirp something that sounds suspiciously
like "RIGHT NOW! RIGHT NOW!" When I start to open the pouch of food he
dances around and then as I am pouring into the dish he starts eating.
Several times he has had gravy accidentally poured on his head. If we
don't put the pouches of food away as soon as we get home from the store
he goes through the bag and tries to take a pouch of his favorite ocean
fish and salmon. He likes the salmon, the tuna, and the turkey flavors
but not the chicken liver.
Even more amusing to me is how I now find him sitting on the breakfast
bar around 3:45 every afternoon. I usually feed him his wet around
4pm. :-)

Good to hear that he likes his gooshy food!
Oscar was also un-thrilled when I switched her to wet food, but she's
eventually gotten to the point where she actually likes Wellness Turkey &
Salmon and Wellness Turkey. She even finishes her half-can before the next
feeding time.
Anyway, last night DH and I noticed the oddest thing. Oscar's bowl was empty
and I hadn't fed her dinner yet. She started pawing at the cabinet door
behind which her cans of food (as well as her treats) live. Amusingly, she
was pawing on the wrong side of the door, but still! She's never tried to
open a cupboard before.
Of course, this greedy little girl was pawing for food after I'd given her
both dry treats and some canned hooman chicken and its water that afternoon
...

As my RB cat got older she did this thing with the food dish
where she nagged me to fill it and then dove in as the first bits
hit the dish (dry food) and would not get her head out of the
way for me to pour in the rest, as though she was so starved
she could not wait. She was a little drama queen.

Sounds like success to me!

What a smart boy. Frank always tries to convince me it's time for
breakfast/dinner at least two hours ahead of time. Glad to hear that
Oliver is eating his gooshy food like a good boy. The cue for my cats to
come running is when I shake the pouch to make the food fall into the
bottom of the pouch so I can rip it open (Frank has usually given up by
then, thinking Meowmie will never give him any food again, and lies
dejectedly on the bed, until I go and shake the pouch at him).
