Chaos apparently hasn't completely gotten over being "abandoned" for a
couple of months at TED's.
When I have to be gone all day, as today with a trip to the VA, and come
home, she plants herself in front of me, stares up and makes assorted
rusty-gate squeaks (anyone with a Maine Cooncat will know what it sounds
like) at me, deMANding to be picked up and held. Once I get out of my
outdoors clothing and into my lounging "suit", I plant my butt in this
office chair, put my feet up and start in on the computer. (What? Well,
that's WHY they're called "laptops"...) She floats up over the arm, stands
on my chest for a bit, kneads a nice comfy nest, curls up and purrs madly.
Ain't it nice to be appreciated? Without a cat, I think I'd shrivel up and
wither away.
