A liger is an offspring of a mating between lion and tiger.

A male lion and a female tiger. The offspring of a male tiger and a female
lion is a tigon. And the offspring of a male tiger and a female tigon is a
ti-tigon. I saw one of each at Tippi Hedren's Shambala a number of years
ago.

I don't suppose that somewhere in this is the ancestor of Klingons?

Wait, wait. There's a huge difference between "no favorite animal" and "don't
like any animals."
I don't think I could tell you my favorite animal. There are so many I adore!

I agree. It's tough. I love cats, but so many others have so much
appeal in so many different ways. Birds fascinate me, as do fish and
reptiles. I love cute fuzzies like hampsters and rabbits. The list
goes on and on. Actually I don't think there is an animal I don't
like except for maybe ticks. I love watching all of the animal
programs on Discovery and Animal Planet.

I pretty much like just about any animal except fleas, mosquitoes and
such (they think I'm Thanksgiving dinner), bees (I have a mild
beesting allergy), and snakes (I'm phobic about them).

That was my reaction, too! I "like" MOST animals (even
those I'd be afraid to encounter without a strong barrier
between us). Of course, cats (of all sizes and species) are
my favorites, but I love dogs, too. I've just never lived
in circumstances where I felt right having one, because they
require more time and attention than I have to give. (Also
much more space, since my tastes run to the really BIG dogs.)

A number of years ago, our zoo had a Liger, which resulted from a mating
of a lion and a tiger. It lived many years at our zoo.MLB
