Dear Mimi

I in trubble with my meowmie, Mimi.  Everytime she open der back door when I
ask for out she say to me "DO NOT EAT NO DICKIE BIRDS"
Well..
It not really my folt dat when she go down der garden a sparrowhawk came
overhead and struck down a collared dove right out of der sky next door.  My
meowmie nose dey have to eat but she don't like it cuz dey don't kill der
birdie before dey pluck it and start eating it.  So wen she hear der dove
flapping on der ground and hear tearing of fevvers she some back up to the
house in a bad mood.
So dat prolly wasn't der best time for her to find der back end of a blue
tit on der doormat wot I left for her.  Dats der best part, you know.
I see her pick it up on her way back from seeing der sparrowhawk.  I could
tell she weren't pleased.
I am keeping a low profile tonight.  I am under der table in der kitchen on
my sheepskin beezle (bed)  I not fritined, meowmie would never smack me nor
noffing like dat, but I can tell she upset about der birdies.
She be awlrite in der morning.  My meowmie never cross for long.

Cuddles for my Mimi, sent from my beezle under der kitchen table

Did it ever occur to you, little one, that with a full food dish in the
house, you don't need to eat birds.  Besides all those feathers just make
you hurl.   Your meowmie doesn't like to see birdies suffer, which they do
if something is eating them alive.  Listen up -- leave birds alone!   MLB

You are a very bright boy, Boyfriend, and a good guesser.  I
still want you to leave birdies alone.  My Friskie caught a robin once a
long time ago and ate it alive.  I was 10 years old at that time and I
have never forgotten how the robin cried.  MLB

Listen here.  I don't *never* eat a birdie alive.  Kitty showed me how to go
crunch before I eat dem.
It were dat NASTY HORRID BIG BIRDIE dat sparrowhawk wot et the smaller
birdie alive. Not me. Dey come here to eat der little birdies, dem hawks
Der boy one is small, he eats der little birdies.  Der girl one is big and
she eats pigeon size and smaller.
It were her yesterday dat made my meowmie sad. Altho finding der bit of blue
tit on der mat wot I put dere dint help dat I av to admit.

I still learning wot good and wot norty.  It very difficult to no.

Oh, poor deer Boyfriend.  I so sorry dat your Mommy mad at yoo for doin what
most cats do.  I say most cats cuz me, Ernie, Moe, Weeble, Tennessee &
Smokey have never killed a birdie.  Ping might have when he was onna owt
before he moved into da baysment.  Lizzie probably did before Mommy brought
her here, as Mommy said da place dey brot her from said she had been a
"stray".  Da only din I ever killt was a rainbow puffball... and some
twisties.

Even do I not ever cot no birdie, I often wonder what dey like.  Are dey
like CHIK KIN?  We likes dat, and it's sumding Mommy cooks up for her &
Daddy, and lets us have some too.

Pleez try not to catch any birdies for a while, so dat your Mommy wont be
mad at yoo.

Cuddles & purrs for my Boyfriend

Momm & Daddy watches birdies, too.  They puts feeders onna out so da birdies

I was onna out when I was itty-bitty, when I was with my birf-mamma, but not

howse, and da crazy hoomins (not Mommy & Daddy, but ofer hoomins) sooms up &
downs it alla tiym in der big shiney boxes-on-wheels.  Mommy say we wood get
skwished onna RODE if we were onna out.

I arely remember beein onna out, but Weeble not remember at all - Mommy say
he was teeny-tiny when he come in.  I was all bloo-eyed, and had teef, and
was hopping & ressling wif my siblings when I mooved in, butt Weebles eye's
were still closed, he had no teef and coodent even walk.
