Just a short note before I start getting ready for work. I posted the
other day about Spotty, who is a regular at the Cat Cafe I run for the
neighborhood kitties. Lately she's been bulging around the middle, and
I figured kittens were due soon. The past couple days she hasn't made
an appearance. A little while ago as I was heading to the laundramat I
spotted her running across the road heading in my direction, so I
shoved the truck into reverse and  backed back into the parking lot.
Sure enough, when I made my way to my patio she was there waiting by
the empty food bowl. I put out some food and noticed she'd lost her
bulge, so she's had her kittens. Instead of staying and visiting for
awhile she just ate and ran, hopefully back to a bunch of happy
babies. I was kind of hoping she's consent to use one of my carriers,
which I fixed up with blankets and set outside, but obviously she
decided she found a better place to keep her little ones.

Hope those babies are OK, and you catch a glimpse soon. ;)

While it would be nice to see her babies, it would be better to wait
judging from where she was coming from when I saw her. When I first
saw her she was running across the street heading for my patio. Sooo,
if she had them across the street, I'd rather wait until they've grown
some.

Hope her babies are doing well. Maybe she'll have them come visit you?
Or your Cat Cafe. ;o)

I had an incident a few years ago when I was feeding 13 ferals.  The
little mother disappeared for over a week.  One day I looked out and there
she was without her big belly.  She was sitting with her eyes closed by my
back door looking exhausted.  She started coming regularly again and
eventually she brought the babies with her.

Life is tough for feral cats.  MLB
