Well, we got our package of pawbreakers in the mail yesterday. I came in
loaded with my briefcase and gym bag, so I left the mail outside. I fed
the cats who were very, very hungry (Tom's out of town shooting a
documentary, and I had yoga, so I got home almost at 7pm) and went back
to get the mail. As soon as I walked in the door, Fez and Luna
disengaged from eating and came over to investigate. I opened the box
and by then all the cats were standing around me with their ears up. I
opened one bag and threw the pawbreaker on the floor. Maya was the first
at it, but she couldn't decide if she wanted to eat it (she's a catnip
eater) or rub against it or play with it. Rufous wanted to rub in it for
sure (he's a rubber) and Luna only wanted to eat it. All seven cats took
turns gnawing and rubbing against the catnip ball. A couple of hours
later, it was no longer a sphere and it had lost about 1/3 of its mass.
I'll put it up before I go to work today, I don't want them choking on
it or something if it gets smaller than what it is now.
So, it's a hit! I got 4 of them for $10, shipping included. Once we run
out, I might order the 16 pack!

Sorry, Tom took the digital camera with him. I'll take some when he
comes back. :)

That sounds like a GREAT cat toy! We'll have to get some for Scout and
Silver... I'm not sure if they want to eat catnip though. They like
their mouseys with catnip but they're not their favourite toys - that
honour belongs to anything spherical! So they might love these... :)

I've been in Bangkok for the last 4 days, so I just saw this. Thanks
for the report, they do seem like a really great cat toy. I'm glad
they were a hit with all of yours.
I wonder if they are available in any pet stores? I'll never be able
to get them over here, but Dennis is going to West Palm Beach in late
April and I was hoping I could get him to bring some back for Vino.

They don't seem to have any distributors in Florida, but they do have
one in Canada. :)
How long is Dennis going to be there? If more than a week or so, you
could order them online to have them delivered at his hotel, should be
plenty of time for them to arrive in the mail.

Hmmm, Dennis will only be there for 6 days, but I can find out what
hotel the company is using and maybe pre-order them a week before and
that way they should arrive while he's there. Thanks for the idea,
Victor :-)
