Here in Houston, TX, a four-year-old boy was fighting with his two-year-old
brother over a toy.  The four-year-old went into his mother's purse, pulled
out her loaded gun, put the gun to his brother's head and pulled the
trigger.  The two-year-old is hanging on by a thread, they don't know if he
will live.  The four-year-old doesn't seem to know what he's done, he deeps
asking when his brother is coming home.

Another senseless gun tragedy!

Please purr for *both* these children!

OMG, how heartbreaking! :o(

Purrs for both those innocent babies, and for their mother who must be
completely beside herself with guilt, fear, and grief. Ditto for the rest
of the family.

I don't even know how to answer this one; this is just horrible for the
whole family -- if purrs can help we're sending all we can.

Purrs for both boys.  No matter the outcome, one day the older boy
*will* know what he's done.   Extra purrs for him on that day.

Gods.  Purrs indeed for the 4 year old, who didn't understand what he
was doing.

*Meanwhile, snarls for whoever thought leaving a loaded gun in a purse
was a good idea....Do these people not understand that GUNS RETURN TO
THE ARMOURY (or other safe location ie storage locker) CLEANED and
UNLOADED after use?!?*

Purrs for the four year old, yes.  Sigh... Yes, I know the right to
bear arms is guaranteed in the Constitution, and I have great respect
for that document. But everytime something like the Columbine tragedy
happens, or I hear of an innocent bystander being shot  and killed by
mistake, or most tragically, something like this, I wish I could make
every gun disappear, anyway. Or make people get a license in order to
buy ammo.  I'm especially convinced that guns and children in the same
house are an accident waiting to happen.

I also wonder, how did the four year old know Mommy kept a loaded gun
in her purse? ANd why didn't she take greater precautions to keep the
gun unloaded and locked away from little hands?  I dearly hope for her
remaining child's sake, that she's more careful after this incident, or
gets rid of the *&^% altogether. BUt it's still a form of locking the
barn door after the horse is stolen.  I'm sure she's suffering over
this, now.
