I just cleaned the litter box and I found a couple of soft, smelly
deposits. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure it's from Mischief, but I
can't be one hundred percent certain.
I'm not sure what to do. I could try to keep the cats separate for a
day or two, which I know they wouldn't like. Like shutting Mischief in
the bathroom would NOT go over with her.
Of course, I could drop her off at work tomorrow for observation and
leave her there until I go into work on Tuesday. Boy she wouldn't like
that either, but at least that way if she had diarrhea at work, I know
they can treat her there. She's not vomiting or acting off in any way,
but cats are great at hiding symptoms.
I DID change their food kinda recently. They didn't have any Wellness
Light so I had to buy Wellness Regular. That could be the thing too.
The first sign of diarrhea that I definitely noticed was when I gave
her wet food a few weeks ago. But I don't know if she had the diarrhea
before that. And besides, I still have a whole bunch of Wellness
Regular and I don't have the money to buy the other stuff. And since
she's such a porker and loves to snack, I doubt it's really from the
change in food.
Of course I'll be charged by taking her to work, but the best part
about work is that I can just carry a tab until payday which is Friday.
Anyone have any thoughts?

I think I would wait one more day. Sometimes they get a bit liquidy but it
clears right up (especially with the food change). If it firms up tomorrow
it doesn't seem like she needs to be seen. But I can understand the concern.

I'm guessing it could be the food change -- the regular may be richer.
However, I feed Wellness canned and I've never seen a light formula...Is
Mischief drinking okay? Is she dehydrated? If she's not dehydrated you
might consider waiting a bit longer. It does take some time to adjust to a
new food.
purrs in the meantime for her,

I would wait another day or so and see if it firms up on its own. As a
Meowmie to an IBD girl (Nikita RB), I am a veteran litter box
scrutinizer ;-) I still feed only super premium soft food to my
kitties, and I can't help but analyze every "output". As long as it's
only soft, not soft serve or liquid, I wouldn't worry too much about
it, especially if it's only the one day or so. My boys get soft every
now and then, and believe me, they eat better than I do ;-) Good
luck, and keep us posted.

Grrrrrr....
Now there's a solid deposit in the litter box and I KNOW it belongs to
Mischief. Why?
Mischief likes to leave her deposits out in the open, and not cover
them up. Unlike Imp, who covers his COMPLETELY and even scratches the
wall.
I checked the box and didn't find anything, so HOPEFULLY the problem is
gone. If not, it might be Imp whod has the diarrhea.
This is a problem when you have two cats, it's hard to tell which one
did it.
*sigh* Hopefully it's over and done with now.

Purrs and best wishes for it to not be anything serious,
