I've finally scanned nine recent pictures of my four-footed family, and
uploaded them to my Yahoo photo album.

The ninth picture I must explain is a snapshot taken of my birthday cake
from last month. Knowing how nuts about cats I am, my uncle asked his local
bakery to decorate the cake with cats. Which they did, and the frosting cats
were playing with a blue frosting thread of "yarn." The picture doesn't do
the cake justice, but you can get the idea. The real, live cake was VERY
cute before I cut it up and we all ate it. =o) Tasted great, too! I thought
this was the best place to show that cat cake off.
But you'll all be amazed at how big Nina is, now. When she lolls on the
floor all stretched out, I certainly am amazed at how much and how fast she
has grown.

She's looking so grown up now, and that tail of hers must be quite a
responsibility for her.

Oh my, what a big pretty girl. And what a naughty TP girl! ;) She
has beautiful eyes. Her little mama is gorgeous, too-- nice swirly
tabby. ;)

Nina is just darling. I love her wide open eyes and innocent look with the
toilet paper. "I didn't do it", as she sits in the middle of her TP
carnage.

It is amazing how she's become a cat, from being a tiny, helpless
baby. But she still has the same innocent expression.

Happy Birthday, Melissa! What a nice cake. Nina certainly has grown.
She's very serious about measuring the TP, isn't she. What a good
inspector she is. ;o) And Francesca is absolutely gorgeous.

Why thank you, all. =o) I chose Francesca at the shelter last spring
because she was the brown tabby of my dreams, and because she had such a
lovely face, and pretty markings on her coat. A friend of mine had had
beautiful (I mean retired registered American Shorthair show cats) classic
tabby cats, and I had been secretly coveting these beautiful cats for
years. The chance to have one of my very own was not to be missed. Then she
hauled off and had Nina by Caesarean Section in June. I've told Francesca
that she has used up all her emergency vet points in one go for the next
five years after only thirty days as my cat. Let this be a lesson to all
about the dangers of falling in love with a pretty face. =o) However, since
I got Nina out of the deal, I regret nothing.
