Thai-ger (tiger, not Tony the; she's sweet but not sugar coated) is my 3d
cat and she's unlike any I've had before.

1. She doesn't meow but squeaks.
2. Walks around the house frequently making a long drawn out chirpy sound.
Usually when she cant find the toy she's looking for.
3. She has whiskers (2 each) on her front legs.
4. Takes toys out of her toy box and carries them all over the house.
5. Will play with stuffed animal half as big as she is.
6. Prefers stuffed toys almost exclusively and will retrieve them if
tossed across room.
7. Throws toys up into the air rather than batting them around on the
floor.
8. Dances on all four legs when getting her back scratched also loves to
have her belly rubbed.
9. Loves to rough house play but bites real softly and never uses her
claws.

I'd say she's within the humongous range of cat normality. ;)  We have
chirping, squeaking, mrrrping, grunting, snorting cats in the ng;
toy-shlepping cats,  fetching cats, belly-rub sluts, etc.  The
whiskers on the front legs-- yeah, I've seen those too, on the backs
of the legs.

Got pictures?

We need to see some pictures to see how strange she really
is. ;) She sounds totally adorable. I have to see those leg whiskers!
And tell where you got her and how!

She sounds like an ideal pussycat.  Maybe you should patent her genes.

I think all kitties are strange in some way!

> 1. She doesn't meow but squeaks.

3 of my 5 do this. Tabitha lets out long, loud squeaks. Samuel makes
quiet, quick squeaks. Harri ranges from soft to loud, from brief squeaks
to long, drawn-out tones.

Tabitha and Harri do this sometimes.

Tabitha and Sammy do this.

Cleopatra and Tabitha do this often, Amelia once in a while.

I've seen all of these traits in cats I've had throughout the years. My
conclusion: All cats are "strange". Although I prefer the term "special".

She sounds like a character! If she likes stuffed animals, she
might like this dog toy a friend of mine got for my kitties - it is
a tree stump with holes in it, and 3 squirrels that burrow inside
it. The game is to pull them out of their holes. :)  We thought
Rhett might like it because he's always pulling stuff apart but he
wasn't fazed. Yours might if they like stuffed animals. :)

I've known cats with all those characteristics, but finding them all
in one cat is certainly a rarity.  Thai-ger sound like a bundle of fun
to have around.  Is she a snuggle-bunny too?  I certainly hope so.

Wow I didn't expect to start a huge thread.
Thanks for the response.
I went away because my computer locked and it took windows all day to fix
whatever.

For those who have new server issues you might want to try Teranews
http://www.teranews.com/
$3.95 sign up fee and free after that
Teranews shows 24 messages in this thread and SBC only shows 9
However teranews messages are short lived 3-5 days at best.

Thai-ger is a 95% purr machine snuggle-bunny when she runs out of energy
and slows down below bullet speed.
If anyone is interested this is how I got Thai-ger.
She showed up one day early December while I was cleaning up the back yard.
She stopped about 6 feet from me and squeaked so I meowed back at her more
as a joke than anything and that started a kind of conversation as she
followed me around as I carried leaves back to the compost bin.
She was like a big head with a tiny body attached I had some cat snacks and
caned food that 3 year old Kage Niko ((shadow cat) my other cat) wouldn't
eat.
It took 2 weeks before she would let me touch her and another week before
she would let me pick her up.
She got her name because she would growl at anyone that came close when I
was holding her. She's over than and tries to make friends with everyone
now.
She became an indoor cat when the temperature dropped down close to 0F
(-17C) I have a room in the basement where she stayed till I was sure she
didn't have anything nasty to give Kage. By the way if you look up
Hissy-fit in the dictionary you'll find a picture of a gray cat with white
boots named Kage but that's her (I'll let you know when I want to play)
personality. Yeah it took almost 3 months for Kage to accept Thai-ger and
she still doesn't like to be touched by her. I think Thai-ger is good for
Kage because she gets her off her sleepy butt and they run around the house
like crazy, that is when Thai-ger isn't busy cleaning out a tissue box and
scattering torn bits throughout the house.
Well I got to run and rescue the attacked box of tissue.

LOL!  *All* threads tend to be huge here - we like to chat about all sorts
of things, but especially about cats!

Yep, and another thing about our long threads is that it's doesn't
take long before the discussion (or discussions) has nothing whatever
to do with the subject title.
