I bought the Warcraft III battlechest a couple of weeks ago. Installed
and played the original WIII game. It was fun! So then I installed the
expansion set (Frozen Throne). I've been playing it for a few days, I'm
at the point where Illidan, the Blood Elf and the Naga are trying to
close the demon gates. Halfway through that campaign (I've closed the
1st gate and destroyed the first orc village), the game crashes! Just
like that. No error messages or anything. I'm suddenly playing and next
thing I know, I'm staring at my desktop. :(
Anybody out there played the game? Any hints on what the problem might be?

Victor

ps-> Tom here, please do not give Victor any hints on how to fix this
addictive game. He hasn't paid any attention to me for the past few weeks!

Yes.  The hint is you aren't paying enough attention to the 7 cats and you
need a new kitten (sorry, Tom!)
