Hi All,
I've been getting meowed at and given 'little kitty pats' all day by
my diminutive Persian, Roxy. It used to be that the cats entertained
us, but in Roxy's case, she's the one demanding to be amused.
It doesn't take much for her to work up to a demand either. Lately,
it seems that just walking past Daddy and having nothing to do
elicits a tiny "meow" and a pair of kitty feet reaching up to touch
Daddy's leg as he sits at the computer.
Then daddy has to guess if she wants the peacock feather, the laser
pointer, or the special kitty string(1). What I want to know is how
this got turned around. I know I've been trained to snug and skritch
kitties whenever they feel like it, but I'm not sure when I became the
chairman of the kitty entertainment committee as well.
Regards and Purrs,
O J
1 (One of my hobbies is knotcraft and this is composed of a little
over a foot of three strand crown sennit, two and a half feet of
three-strand flat sennit and three feet of single string. No waving
your arms about -- a tiny flick of the wrist sends it flying out to
its full length)

LOL! I guess it's the reward they get for entertaining us. :o)
The thread's title caught my eye because, among other nicknames I have for
Captain and Stanley ("The Boys", "The PurrMonsters", "The Pair of Cats",
"The Kitty Committee"), I call them the Entertainment Committee because
they're SO darned amusing to watch.
I'd far rather watch the two of them playing than watch the vast majority
of what's on TV these days. Ditto for preferring skritching them and
listening to them purr, instead of listening to a lot of what's been
dubbed "music" that emanates from the radio.
And as for PLAYING with them, well, that's even more fun. Audience
participation at its best. :o) Who needs reality shows? ;o)
