Little Angels

As I lay me down to bed,
An angel lays down by my head.
He purrs and cuddles, soft and mellow,
Laying down upon my pillow.

As I'm drifting into sleep,
An angel lays down by my feet.
He scoots up close to warm my toes,
And starts to purring, deep and slow.

As into slumber soft I slip,
An angel lies down by my hip.
She kneads a little, then she purrs,
Warming me with silky fur.

And as I say my nightly prayers,
surrounded by my catly layers,
I thank God for Angels three,
Who nightly come to comfort me.
