Job Purrs - Have Possibilities

To make a long story short, today I finally got my resume into the
hands of the president of a small company that does work in the
environmental field (which is my real work background, though I've
done software development for the last few years). I have first-hand
reports that this president read my resume once quickly when given it,
then read it a second time, slower. My source said the president said
it was quite impressive, and to tell me that *they* would be calling
to talk to me next week. The president also said she'd make sure my
name and resume got out into the local informal enviro-worker network.

I'm not quite sure what to think, except at best this is very good
news (a possible interview or at least some connections), and at worst
it's more of the same.

*Something* good on the job front has to happen soon - it's been
almost a year!

Job purrs on the way!  I had to order a new printer yesterday because the
clip holding the black ink cartridge in mine broke and tape only works
*sometimes*.  Hard to print resumes (and no, I'm not paying a copy-place to
do it) if your printer only works 25% of the time.

Printers are extremely intelligent. They know both when warranties
expire, and when you have just bought a large number of cartridges for a
printer that is no longer produced.  I just went through this with
Epson, and calling corporate and not taking NO for an answer eventually
got me a very fair offer of a discounted new printer and partial credit
for cartridges for the old one.
