> Any kitten dreams? MLB
A couple of nights ago I dreamed that Sonya had been pregnant for a
couple of years, and every time we took her into see Doc Stevens he told
us that she was still pregnant and to hang in there. She was at the
point where she couldn't walk because her belly was too big. I woke up
sweating and moaning in fear.

And then you woke up and found you weren't dreaming?
Considering gestation is only nine weeks, I'm a little surprised they even
knew she was pregnant when they sent her with you.
Four very fat kittens, Saturday between midnight and six am.

Since Pam's planning to take her to TED Monday, I say between midnight
and 6 am Monday. I'm still calling five kittens.

I finally laid down in exhaustion and with swollen eyes this afternoon and I
dreamed the vet made a mistake and I had Grant back. Isn't the mind funny. I
never thought I would dream something like that.

{{{Karen}}} It was so sudden, it will take a while to come to terms with
the fact that he is gone. I think that dream shows that you are
processing it and on the path to healing. Wish I could give you a real hug.

Whenever a loved one dies it always seems like it just hits you all over
again every time you wake up and realize that they really are gone. I wish
there was something I could do to make you feel better, but sadly there
isn't anything anyone can do - it just takes time.

Oh Karen. You will probably go on seeing him out of the corner of
your eye when you're awake, too. I'm always "spotting" people in my
life that I've lost. Purrs.

Karen, I'm so sorry about Grant. I wish your dream were true.

Pam, I am so sorry but this made me laugh almost hysterically. I'm so
ashamed. :(

Yikes!! :-(
I have to say at this point, I too had a foster cat given to me once,
who was supposed to be 6-7 weeks pregnant. 6 weeks later, and after
several vet examinations, we deduced she couldn't be, and was either
having a phantom pregnancy or was just plain FAT. When she was spayed,
there were no foetuses inside the uterus. I have seen quite a few
pregnant mum cats and she really did look quite far along - belly
hanging low, teats showing, did not come into season etc.... but it was
all a lie! I was sad not to have baby kittens to look after, but glad as
it meant she could go to her new home much sooner.

That's it, Deb! You've solved the question of the kittens. Sonya's not
pregnant but she figures she's found her one true home so she's not
going to give up the game. This will be the only cat in history to be
eternally pregnant :P

Oh my, Pam, what a nightmare, but I don't wonder. You must be really
sick of pacing the floor.
