Does anyone know how to get ahold of Gloria?

According to Google, Pat last posted here on 13th Feb, and said the
after her trouble finding a good pet-sitter, her plan was to leave the
following Monday, which would have been Valentine's Day. She previously
said the trip to Florida would be about a couple of weeks. Assuming she
went as planned, she would only just have got back, and if it went well,
she may have stayed longer...?
Who received the phone number of her nearby local contact (was that
Gloria, maybe) from Pat, when she had the bath accident? Could one of
those people ring that contact, if we think it is a true cause for
concern?
Deb.

zoobotanica@gmail.com (Debbie Wilson) had some very interesting things
to say about Re: Ping Pat/Abelard:

I had that, but now can't find it. :-(

Odd. Does anyone know her address? I'm wondering how the police would
respond to a report that newsgroup members are concerned because a woman said
she would be visiting someone she met online, but she hasn't checked in.
Actually, wouldn't even have to say "newsgroup"; just a friend who calls her
regularly and is concerned by the change in message.
I don't recall; did Pat say she would check in by some definite date?
I haven't said anything till now, but I'm worried too. I've met a lot, I mean
a lot, of people I first met online, and at the insistance of a co-worker at
the time, I always made plans with someone to the effect that I'd call when I
got there, and to start worrying if they hadn't heard from me by some set
time. IIRC Pat's situation was more flexible, though, because she was
driving.
I really hope she's okay. So many things could have gone wrong, even if the
guy she was going to meet checks out fine.
DH is more cynical and says that the vast majority of disappearances are
actually people who run away, just purposely make themselves disappear. But
if I went missing after telling people I was going to meet someone from
online, I'd hope someone would worry about me.

Before you panic, remember that someone will be caring for Pat's horses and
would know when she is to return -
Please excuse top posting..............Lorna
