Leasons Learned from Leonidas

Well, I'm learning new things every day from Leonidas (even DH is
giving in to the name after reading some of the posts from the group).

I know he was "dumped" by someone.  And that he is a sweet, loving,
little boy.  And he likes Meow Mix (the permanents get Iams for which
he is developing a taste).  And he thinks Li'l Bit (an external, who
seems to constantly be frowning) is his girlfriend, though she has
other ideas.  And he likes to wrestle with Barnabus and Smokie Darling,
but he plays a bit rougher than they like.

My newest learned thing:  Apparently, his former slaves would put him
out when he stuck his claws into furniture.  He goes to the door, I
ignore it.  He then goes to the chair and sticks his claws in, he
doesn't scratch and pull per se, just sticks in his claws to make that
noise.  Then when I say "Hey!  Leonidas, stop that."  He runs right to
the door and looks at me.  We've been doing this for the past 20
minutes.

Also apparently, he is used to be let out when he stands up at the door
and reaches for the knob.  It isn't working all that well with me, and
he gets the most confused look in his eyes.  Eventually, I hope to get
a picture of that look, but he's a bit faster than I am.

Leonidas sounds like a character (but aren't they all??!).  Dirty litter box
offerings to the ones who dumped him - thankfully he has a good home now.

Hugs,
