Isn't it kind of odd for tornados in LA? I saw that today! Stay safe
you Californians!

We are closer Sacramento, and they aren't unheard of around here this time
of year. Just not usually the big bad boys they get in the midwest. Not
that that much matters to those they do hit.
Even a "little" funnel cloud can do one heck of a lot of damage. It is just
more localized.
We have two storm systems bouncing off each other. Never a good spot to be.

Last I heard, the storm system is north of Sacramento and continuing
north.
It was SO much fun being in the Natomas WalMart when the power went
out :-). Then we got to Michael's (finding out from another shopper
along the way she'd heard about a tornado warning), and the lines were
horrendous (most of the registers were down). Turned out that a
tornado had actually touched down on the roof of the building and
caused minor damage (by the time we were done browsing, all registers
were back up and running).

Welcome to my world here in the mid-South. We had major thunderstorms come
through very early this morning. There were reports of hail and I saw some
fantastic lightning. The temps dropped 10 degrees in 20 minutes which is
*never* a good sign. Persia hid in the closet. But I was watching radar
and saw it was moving through very fast so I wasn't too worried. For the
next few months, it will be tornado season here.
Glad you're safe and sound there.

Ack, that's close. About a mile from my daughters house, with the huge
trees in the back yard.
By the way, I loved the blueberry scones you recommended.
Glad you are OK.
