Now that's just sad!
Gonna have to get a doggy bed aren't you?
I just bought a couple of yards of fake fur to cut into sleeping mats for
the dog (and cats)
Pretty much the same sort those beds are made out of.

Check out the Woolrich beds at Target. They are really nice and big enough
for her.Decrative too. I got one over a year ago. They used it briefly then
forgot about it. I moved it to the bedroom. Recently Pearl "discovered" it
in there and now once she is tired of sleeping with me, goes to "her" bed.
Pretty funny.

We have both of these, the second one (32") accomodates at least 4 cats
in a pile:

Hi,
At the local PetSmart, they sell pet beds. I got one for the barking
furbaby, who doesn't care for it, but the cats (well 2 of them) like it
just fine. Barnabus (13 pounds) and Smokie (12 pounds) both love it,
and will occasionally allow the "outside" kitty (approx 7 pounds) get
in with them.

LOL! You put that so delicately! I think it might be time
for a doggie bed. If you don't tell her maybe she won't
realize it. :0)
CatNipped - 20 Feb 2005 22:20 GMT
Oh, they have no shortage of beds she just wore herself out in the vicinity
of this one. They have four of these that I just snapped pics of Bandit
snoozing in:
http://www.possibleplaces.com/bandit/
I bought these baskets at Michael's (on the recommendation of someone here -
they were on sale 2 for $5) then bought 4 travel pillows at Walmart that fit
inside them perfectly and just covered the pillows with some nice flowery
pillow cases.
But on second thought, Bandit is only 9 pounds so maybe Sammy wouldn't fit
in these either! LOL

A mid-sized d+ggie bed might work.
Gabey8 - 21 Feb 2005 02:51 GMT
It looks like she might have to graduate to a d*ggie bed. Especially if
she's still growing.
She's such a pretty girl.
However, if you do spring for a larger bed... how much would you like to
bet that Sammy will still use the small bed(s), and the smaller cats will
gravitate to the large bed? :o)

LOL! I think you'll have to go look in the d*g section (but don't tell
Sammy).

Stormin Mormon - 21 Feb 2005 16:05 GMT
When I was a kid, we had a cat that used to like to sleep laying on its
back. With its hind in the dining room (thin carpet) and its head and
shoulders in the kitchen (linoleum). Right over the metal strip at the edge
of the carpet.
Might be just the right configuration?

The picture reminded me of Fugazi and the sandwich maker box. When she
was a kitten we brought one of those toasted sandwich makers and she
slept in the box, in fact she wouldn't let us move it never mind throw
it out (Surely I am not the only slave who has old cardboard boxes
around the house that must never be moved!). As she grew into a very
large cat she would still love to sleep in the box even through she
hung over the sides all around and had to sleep with her head out of
the box! She loved that box for several years until it finally fell
apart due to the pressure of having a large cat stuffed into it! (I
wish I had a picture of her in it!)

Oscar has had this box for a few years:
http://www.bounceswoosh.org/rpca/rpca-2004.11.22/oscar/tn/cat_in_a_box.jpg.html
There's a small, circular hole in the side and she likes to push her paw
through it to bat at things.

Well done, Suz, but you might not have to do this on Windows. There is a
setting which you can select as a default which always quotes the posts you
want to reply to and you can snip in and out. My first computer wasn't set
like this, I was a newbie, and I always had to top post. I had no idea
whatsover about cutting and pasting ;-)
Let me go away and think about how I did it, what I went into and what I
selected and I'll get back to you. Unless some kind person in the USA might
tell you overnight when it's snooze time for me.. 6 hours in front at least.
