What a treat. The huge restaurant supply place I used to go to closed down.
It was really old-fashioned. One guy took the order, a woman took the cash,
and you picked it up somewhere else down the line, like a warehouse,
but old-style, like the 1930's movies. Neat.
They have the Dexter Russell knives. I bought one a long time ago.
Clean white plastic handle, serrated, still good to go.
It's a good URL. I can tell by the merchandise, it's the Real Thing TM.
No more do I have to go "Chinatown" and buy a Chinese cleaver,
not that I minded, once I got over the language barrier. That cleaver
was nifty. I sharpened it and touched it and my thumb bled, impressive!
Not my stupidity in touching it but sharpening it on my diamond sharpener.
Here's somethine, an ECG watch that does 15 minutes of recording at
the 14 A/D level, which is nothing to sneeze about:
http://www.pmsinstruments.co.uk/merlin.htm
This is the watch, 14 bit A/D for data is impressive, looks good but expensive.
This miniature, wristwatch-style ECG event recorder is activated by simply
placing a hand on the face of the watch. The solid-state memory of Merlin
can store up to 15 minutes of ECG. Flexible programming ensures that
the patient is not limited to a pre-set recording length -
the recorder can store long or short strips to reflect the events.
Remnant memory capacity is displayed after each recording.
Recordings are easily transmitted to the PC via an optical cable
or using a standard modem. With normal use,
Merlin is expected to serve several months with the same batteries.

The Medisana in UK also had something, like a big credit card that supposedly
could do T-waves, in addition to QRS and ST, just put thumbs on it. But the
watch seems much more elegant, and probably more expensive. It's not
sold in USA but is sold in Europe. But I have seen cheap Medisana units.
I was amazed to find cholesterol, HDL, triglyceride units, for under $200 too.
For those so inclined. Wonder what the Cat has to say about it. Should
really check her cholesterol and maybe feed her low-cholesterol mice, ewwww.
The PT-INR still go for $1400 which seems too high, and $2400 way too high.
