I don't know why, but Persia got up extra early this morning.  I heard her
tag clinking against the ceramic bowl of food out in the kitchen.  Then she
was lapping up water at her fountain.  Then she went nuts (I assume chasing
a fuzzy mousie); I could hear her dashing all over the place on the carpet.

She jumped back up on the bed and when I rolled over she was wild-eyed with
a lashing tail.  She pounced at my feet (she never does this!) and at my
hand moving from under the covers to pet her.  Then at the hand itself.  She
dashed back off the bed and I went okay, she's got "SPRING Zoomies" and
rolled back over.  After about 20 minutes of this she came back to bed and
curled up next to me, purring.  "Time for a nap... those Zoomies wore me
out!"

I used to have a handle on life...but it broke off.

It must be contagious, since Nina and Francesca were having a mad attack of
the Zoomies while I was in the shower this morning.  =o) It's odd how
creatures who can move silently when they want to sound like charging
wildebeests when the urge to gallop around full tilt comes upon them. =o)
Poor old Pan just can't keep up with the girls, so he just tries to curl up
out of their way.  But who can accurately predict the path of two lively
young cats with the Spring Zoomies?
