Last night, as I was taking a bath, Cinders hopped up onto the edge of
the tub, sniffed my bar of soap, and started licking it.  She licked
it for 10 seconds or so, then hopped back down onto the bathroom
floor.  She made lip-smacking noises for several seconds, then sat
down and gave herself a thorough tongue-bath, probably as much to get
the soap taste out of her mouth as for cleaning purposes.

I suspect that she won't try licking the soap again.

Yes, she does eat the food.  I don't think that licking the soap was
from hunger; I think that it was an experiment, and that she kept
licking it for 10 seconds or so in hopes that the flavor would
improve.

I suspect you're right John.  I know my sisters and I never sang one
particular not-so-nice song again after it landed all four of us lined
up in the downstairs bathroom, teary eyed, to await our turn as Dad
gave each of our mouths a thorough washing out with the Ivory soap.
(I was 6 at the time, but still remember quite clearly that nasty
taste.)
