My roommate and I have two big swivel desk chairs.  Well last year hers
broke so she's been using a chair from the kitchen

Well today she has brought in a new chair that used to belong to her
father.  It's brown and seems to be made of tweed.  It's an old office
chair from the seventies, so it has never been around felines.

Mischief is eyeing with intense curiousity.

Right now as of 3 pm, it is cat hair free and free of claw marks.

I got a look of death from my roommate when I suggested putting catnip
on it. hehehehehehehehe

Right now she's seated in the chair with Mischief on her lap, and
Mischief is pretending not to be interested in sniffing this foreign
thing.......ooops, she jumped down and is sniffing.

NOW TAKING BETS TO SEE HOW LONG IT TAKE FOR THE CHAIR TO BE PROPERLY
SCENTED, PROPERLY COVERED WITH CAT HAIR AND INITIATED AS A SCRATCHING
POST!!

Place your bets!!!!!

Ooooops too late, already caught her with her claws in it.

But it still is free of cat hair, for the moment

If it is the fabric I think it is, I'll give it four months before it has a
hole in it.

Those are all great pictures  -- I really enjoyed seeing them.  She is a
lovely kitty.   MLB

I'd claim that as my throne too if I had the chance. Nice chair that
looks particularly regal with a grey cat sitting upon it.  Has your
roomate started looking at new chairs yet?

When she told me that she was bringing a new chair, i said, "Prepare to
have it inspected and scented."  And she said her mother told her the
same thing

It's 10 pm and both cats have found the chair quite comfy

I have taken pictures to show my roommate (who is out on a Valentine's
Date") just how much both cats LOVE her chair

And so appropriate for her majesty.
Mischief - 15 Feb 2005 03:59 GMT
Nah, it's from all the catnip.  hehehehehehe

Now I need to catch one of her on my computer with her feet sticking
out.  hehehehe

This one's a little worrying. She looks like she may be planning to kill
Bill, or someone.

The crazy part is that it's 9 pm here, only SIX hours after the chair
arrived and it already has been claimed.

Must be pretty comfy.  Cause right now, Mischief is out cold on that
chair.

When my roomie told me she was bringing the chair I asked her how long
it would last, and she said, "Not long."

Well I had to leave for a while, and apparently after I had left,
Mischief claimed the chair and then proceeded to use it as a scratching
post.

So it sounds like the consensus is the chair lasted about an hour.

That kind of material is purty darn sturdy. Should hold up to claws well.

Imp has found the chair quite comfy as well

OK, that really made me chuckle. That is a "hands off" stare if I've ever
seen one.
Mischief - 15 Feb 2005 05:52 GMT
well, I see it as more of a "Uh-Oh, I've been CAUGHT!!!"

Imp is my 'conspiracy' kitty.  He's skittish but has improved a LOT
since I adopted him two years ago.  He actually will let me approach
him now and pick him up.  Most of the time he looks at me with the
expression that says,

"I just KNOW you are trying to trick me. You act all nice and try to
tell me that you're going to give me scritches, but I just KNOW that as
soon as I let you catch me you'll be clipping my nails or something
just HORRIBLE!!!"

He has NO backbone, which is which is why I will occasionally call him
"Imp the Wimp"

Silly Cat.............
