Senyah's misconception

We currently have 1 and 3/4 cats.

There is our orang tiger, Little Feet, who is our full-time, indoor
cat, who likes to look out the door, or to be carried out so he can
look at the world from the safety of my arms.

There is Buster, the grey and white panther kitty who we are trying to
adopt, but who still likes to go outside. Not so much as he used to,
and most of the time he spends the night, at the foot of the bed, next
to my feet.

Then there is the pretty little black cat we call Dulce Mae. She has a
small blaze of white on her bib, and a bit of white on her tummy. An
ex-neighbor was adopting her, then abandoned her when he moved. We
started bringing Dulce Mae in around Halloween, and as often as
possible when it got cold.

Well, Senyah knows I am trying to adopt Buster. But I heard her tell
Dulce Mae, last week, that "You are just visiting here."

Uh huh. Sure. Dulce Mae has claimed the cat tower as her own personal
fortress, keeps n\both boy kitties on their toes by hissing and
slapping at them, and has no problems asking for pets and skritches.
She also stays inside more often than she used to.

Dulce Mae has started to mellow a bit, though. More often than not,
she approaches Little Feet for a nose touch. Lately, she and Little
Feet play chase, much to Senyah's surprise (Senyah is often in the
center of the game field - grin).

Little Feet and Dulce are about the same age, I think, so this may
work out nicely for Little Feet, who never really had a playmate. Um,
assuming that She Who Must Be Obeyed finally gives up her hiss and
slap (grin).

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Wouldn't that be 2 and 3/4 cats :)  I'm glad Dulce Mae is staying in more.
She sounds like such a cutie.

Yep, sounds like 2 3/4 cats, provided you can convince the OTHER SWMBO. :)

So glad Little Feet has a new friend. Hope Senyah comes around to that
point of view, too. ;o)

I was once at a cat show and a breeder was telling a wife and mother that
husbands and fathers always say that there's no way the family is going to
have a kitten, but when the time comes they want the kitten to be listed in
their (the father's) name ;)
Best wishes,
