Last week one of my high school classmates died and his funeral was
today. I could not attend as I had my first stint at substitute
teaching at the local high school, which was the same school we
graduated from 2x years ago.
The fire alarms went off during the school's first lunch period.
Fortunately, it was a false alarm, but the last I heard they were
still trying to figure out why the alarms went off at all, as there
was no indication that anyone had pulled an alarm box.
It hit me just a little while ago that the alarms went off at just
about the same time the funeral service would have been ending. That
would be just like Mark, who could be a real prankster in school.
Nothing was too wild or outrageous for him to try.
Odd timing, anyway.

Could well have been your old classmate just pulling one last prank!
(Quoting the Cowardly Lion: "I do believe in spooks, I do, I do, I do
believe in spooks!")

Stranger things have happened.
Possible your old classmate was saying his final goodbyes.
Very sorry about your classmate.
Purrs to you.
