Normally, cats don't buzz like a bee. However, with my crew, you never know
what is going to happen. Yesterday several of them were having a case of the
'zoomies', running up and down the stairs and zipping by me through the
dining room into the kitchen and back. So, I didn't think anything of it
when my Marble went running by me, into the kitchen, up on the table and
back. He ran into the living room, and as he went by me, I noticed he was
making a buzzing noise. Huh? He was acting very upset, and ran back by me
into the kitchen again. I asked my hubby (who was in the kitchen) to catch
him, and I went over to see if I could find out what was wrong. He had a
wasp stuck in his fur! I tried to flick it out with my fingers, and it got
more entangled in his fur! Meanwhile, he is fighting us, scratching and
biting and generally freaking out. We think the wasp may have been stinging
him. :( He got away from us and ran into our bedroom, so I grabbed a comb to
get under the wasp to remove him. He had already managed to remove the wasp
by running under our bed and scraping his side against the rail, so I
finished the wasp off by stepping on it. I had to give some INTENSE cuddling
to him, poor little guy! He is fine today, but I bet you he stays away from
wasps from now on!

Oh, poor Marble! That must have been intensely painful. Unlike honey bees,
wasps can sting over and over again! Please give Marble extra scritches
from me.

From me, too, but not anywhere near where he was stung!

Awwwwww! Poor baby. I hope he's okay; wasps are *evil*. When it started
to get cold last fall one found its way into the house and was on the
carpet, sluggish 'cause it was time to die. Persia is eager to inspect
anything that moves. But luckily for me (and her!) she understands a stern
NO! She backed off and I got the danged wasp out of the house in a wad of
paper towels before she could be stung.

YIKES, poor little guy! Give him extra skritchies from me.
I bet he never wants to see another wasp for the rest of his nine lives.
Which is just as well.
Comforting and wasp-repelling purrs are on the way.

Poor little Marble, he must have been very confused and hurting. Purrs
that he's OK now.
