Well, I haven't been posting about the new cat because I started my
new job right after Morrisey came to us. But, he seems to be adjusting,
which is more than we can say for Libby. Of course, she only tolerated
Shroder, so we expect about the same.
Anyway, Morrisey spent all the first full day in our place in the bed
room. We would go in and talk to him, but he really wanted nothing to do
with us. Except that I would lie down and reach in and rub his head.
He started purring when I did that finally.
After I went to bed I, with the door closed, I heard one of the cats
banging on the door. I figured it was Libby. My wife was in the living
room (she works graveyard, and on her nights off she usually maintains
the same sleep pattern). She opened the door and let morrisey out.
She told me he would jump up on the back of the couch, look at her and
the hiss. He then progressed to coming up to her, rubbing her legs
and purring. And the as he walks away turn and hiss at her. Kind of
like "I like you, no I don't".
Now he is exploring the apartment, pulling back the blinds and looking
out, opening the cupboard doors and in general checking out the new
digs. He is even using the main litter box. And he is coming to the
front door when I come home. Seems like he is settling in, even though
Libby is packing her bags and checking bus schedules.

Sounds like it is going pretty well. Make sure to give Libby some "me" time
too and she might put that bus schedule away :)

Hopefully Libby will realise that it is a cold hard world out there and that
her digs are really pretty good! May take a while though, good luck!

Our daughter seems to think that Libby belongs to her, she is living
in another city. I told my wife what I wrote and she said that Libby
was probably looking at the Greyhound schedule.:0. However, Libby
really does prefer life with us. Our daughter is a very loud person,
and when she is around Libby tends to hide alot.
