Every so often, some tiny scrap of something I see on TV just catches
me offguard, and strikes me as being very funny-- probably funnier
than it really is.  Usually some dumb commerical will just tickle me
to death, adn I won't be able to get it out of my mind.  I hate to
think about what this probably says about me.

Anyway, the other day, I just had another of these things.  The DVD
for "Shark Tales" has either just come out, or is coming out soon, so
I'm seeing commericals for it.  And there's one clip in which the
little Will Smith fish is singing the old Bob Marley song, "Every
Little Thing's Gonna be Alright."  These very Rasta-looking jellyfish
loom up behind him (trailing tentacles=dreadlocks) with disapproving
expressions, and one of those tentacles reaches out and WHACKS the
Will-fish on the back of the head.  Dripping Caribbean-style contempt,
the jellyfish says "That AINT the way to sing that song, Mon!"

God knows why, but this just cracked me up completely.  I can still
hear that voice in my head "That AINT the way to sing that song, Mon!"

Seen that commercial several times myself - it is kinda funny.  Movie comes
out on DVD Feb 8 - and it's on the list to buy -hey, these are the same
people that made both Shrek movies, I figure at least *parts* of it will be
worht the $, especially if bought on the 'first week-release" sale most
stores have now (anywhere from just under $15 - about $17, US), so why not.

Heehee. I haven't seen a promo for the movie but I'm laughing at
"will-fish"  You're quite a story-teller, Theresa!

Well, apparently the character's name is Oscar, but it speaks with
Will Smith's voice, and is modeled on him, so it's a little animated
fish that  --well--- resembles Will Smith.

I did some checking on IMDB, and discovered that one of the Rasta-fish
was voiced by Ziggy Marley, which makes that little scene *really*
funny.
