Sad news from my lovely neighbour Heather, whose cat-rescuing daughter
Sarah recently had that serious operation for which you kindly purred &
had a fine outcome: Heather's rescue cat George, a sturdy all-black full
polydactl of friendly nature and fine hunter, developed fluid on the
lungs and took so badly to treatment that he's had to be put to sleep. I
can't be more specific 'cos she's much too upset to go into details. He
was thought to be aged around 12.
Everyone hoomin knew him was fond of him, as he always came up for a
friendly scritch, and my rescue b&w Bandit liked to sit and commune with
him every day, so please light a candle in memory of this splendid
fellow. He will be much missed.
Thanks.

Many poors for George, and many candles lit. 12 is much too young. How sad
for Sarah that she lost her beloved companion when she herself must still be
feeling very vulnerable.
