Why is it that the camera is never handy when you need it? Memphis and Phoenix have built in radar for when I load the dishwasher, so I usually keep a very close eye on what they are up to at that time. I had been making chocolate cake and had loaded the bowl and stuff into the dishwasher when the phone rang. I hadn't a need to leave the kitchen as I have a phone in there, so just turned to pick it up. In that short space of time, Phoenix had upturned the chocolatey bowl and stuck his face in it. Picture the scene, nice brown chocolate mix, add one smallish silvery kitten. He had it all over his snout up to his eyes! Good job he doesn't object to being wiped off! Gotta watch him like a hawk when doing that kind of project. He almost gave me a heart attack when he once opened the pantry, pulled out the cocoa can, pried it open, spilled the cocoa out all over the kitchen floor and rolled around in it. He was an instant calico, and I was one frantic catmom.
