Last night Missy came into the living room after her 18 hour nap. "Oh
goodie. A fire in the fireplace." So what does a lazy tabby do but lay
down in front of the fireplace for another nap.
The wood I was burning was just a little wet. So just as Missy is
dozing off out from the fireplace comes a POP, HISSSSSSSSSSS,POP! Missy
immediately became airborn about 3 feet and did a complete 180 degree
turn in mid air. (How do they do that?) After her flight she growled at
the fire. Then she noticed I was rolling around laughing so hard. She
just sat there giving me the stare of death. After I stopped laughing
she came over and sat on my lap well away from that fire monster. Why do
I never have a camera when I need one?

LOL, that 180 turn in midair is a very funny image, Bob! I can almost see it
as vividly as you did. =o) No doubt Missy thinks you did it deliberately to
scare her. Here, she thinks she's in for a nice cozy loll in a warm place,
and instead, the fire hisses at her, and then her Hoomin laughs at her!
Insult to injury. <G>

That's a great picture. I already have that on my computer and the
people I've showed it to have loved it.
