Last night had to be the oddest series of dreams, ever ...

First, I had a dream that I visited my old martial arts school.  It's a long
story, but after many positive years at the school, the owner disappeared, the
teaching went downhill, and I ended up having a collection agency after me
because I felt they weren't holding up their end of the deal.  (Providing
useful classes.)  But in this dream, the dojang was just packed with students.
I took a class there, but I knew it wasn't right for me, so I left.  Just kind
of a visit down memory lane.

Then, I dreamed that I was backcountry skiing (I never do this; I only ski at
resorts, so far) with some friends, including a friend in RL, David.  He skied
down a ramp made of a fallen tree and jumped into a pond, laughing all the
while.  Then did it again.

Then, I dreamed that DH and I were visiting a (real) friend, Jessie, who for
some reason was living back at her parents' house.  We were telling her all
about how we were going to be doing an endurance mountain bike race, starting
with parachuting into the start point.

There were also some bits about huge powder stashes at A-Basin (ski resort)
and something about parking in a rushing creek (probably for mountain
biking?), but I don't recall exactly.

I wish I were as bad@$$ in real life as I am in my dreams =P

I'd even be happy to be bad@$$ in my dreams as you are!

Not all of my dreams feature me as an intrepid explorer!

I have to admit, though, I rarely have "helpless" dreams.  Even when I'm in a
horrible situation, I'm somehow actively working to get out of it.  I remember
dreaming I was in a prison camp, once (but a surreal one that could only make
sense within a dream) ... I was agitating my fellow prisoners and repeatedly
devised ways to get the heck out of there, although iirc most didn't work.
