I heard sirens and screeching tires.  Went to the kitchen and saw flashing
lights through the window shade on the front door.  Stepped outside; there
is an ambulance and a couple of police cars several apartments down the way.
I don't know what's going on but hopefully no one is seriously hurt or ill.
