Purrs for a new baby kit, please?

I have a feeding station for some feral and hard stray cats in my garage.
This afternoon, when I went out to feed them and make sure that their water
was not frozen (it is -1 degree F with a wind chill of -18 F, and it is a
full blizzard out there!) I found 2 newborn kits. Sadly, one was dead, but
the other one was chilled, but ok. No sign of mom, so I took the live baby
in the house with me, got him warm, fed him and he is now sleeping in a
crate on top of a heating pad. He had about 1 1/2 tsps of kitten formula
before he spit out the nipple and burped. He (at least, I think it is a he!)
is solid black, with 6 toes on each front foot, and may be long haired, as
his fur has waves in it.

So could you send some purrs along that he does ok, and purrs that his momma
can be trapped and reunited with him, and RB purrs for the little one that
went before.

Thanks!
Patti

Purrs for everything, for the little one, that his mama can come back for
him and for his siblings journey to the RB.

Indeed, poor little thing! But cat mamas have a strong maternal instinct,
hopefully she'll come back.  In the meantime, thank goodness you were there
to rescue the living kitten in weather like that!

Mega purrs for both the little lost kitty and the one you are caring for.
You are so good for taking care of the baby.  Purrs too for the momma to
come back.

Is there an update about this little one that we're all purring for?

A reminder that "Mother Nature" can be cruel.  Will send heartfelt purrs
that the tiny one will survive and live a long, happy life.  Purrs for the
baby who went to the Bridge.  MLB

Purrs and survival thoughts and wishes aplenty for the new kit, and RB
purrs for the little one who has left us.  May he find plenty of
surrogate mommies to help him there.

If you have questions, there are a lot of people here that know about
bringing up baby.  I didn't know that you have to stimulate them to make
them go to the bathroom.  Which reminds me, I need to check my cotton
ball and washcloth supply in case Sonya's kittens need help.

Also sending prayers and purrs you way that Sonya can feel enough at home by
the time her kits arrive that she can do what needs to be done.

Get Mandy on the internet to learn what she needs to do (and no do) to help
Sonya out.

God bless you for taking the little guy in and caring for him. Megapurrs
are on the way for him, you, Mama Cat, and for a peaceful journey to the
Bridge for the tiny one who didn't survive.

Captain and Stanley have only JUST arrived in their OneTrueHome about 24
hours ago, so they've been running those purr motors a lot. And boy, are
they LOUD. They'll be happy to rev up purrs for other kitties in need.

Donna, sending purr-ayers, and Captain and Stanley

Somebody up there was watching over the little guy.  At least his momma
managed to get him to someone who knew what to do for him.  Here's praying
and purring it will be enough.

This reminds us that life for cats without a human home is so very
hard.  Purrs for you for taking in the little one and Purrs for the
little fellow to find a forever home.

For a complete thread hijack --

I just watched the anime movie Grave of the Fireflies.  It's extremely well
done, but, well, it's about two children trying to survive in end-WWII Japan.
It's not giving away the ending to say that they don't.  The IMDB link is at
http://tinyurl.com/58dxv

Anyway, your post immediately triggered the thought, life for humans without a
home is so very hard, too.

Sorry for the hijack.
