Sophie hates my new monitor

Up til now, our little black shadow Sophie has loved to sit in front of me
computer monitor and bat at the mouse pointer as it scuttled across the
screen. Alas, no more. As the monitor grew older, its picture got darker and
darker. Finally I had to replace it with a bright new LCD monitor that's a
fraction of the old one's weight and bulk. But it doesn't have a glass
front - it's a flexible plastic material that little kitty claws can
scratch. So I've had to try to persuade Sophie to find another amusement
while I'm working. So far, no luck. I think I've picked her up and moved her
away from the screen a dozen times so far this evening!

Maybe you can get an anti-glare screen for your monitor. That would
protect the monitor surface itself (and it might make life easier on your
eyes into the bargain).

Then Sophie can bop the anti-glare screen to her heart's content, and not
damage the actual monitor screen. :o)

A great idea on both counts. I'll check out anti-glare screens and if they
work out, I'll get one and Sophie will thank you personally!

I recently got an LCD monitor too.  Vino used to sit on top of the old
monitor but he can't do that anymore.  But this is more than made up
for by the fact that now there's so much more room on the desk and he
can lie *behind* the monitor and stick his little head out on the
side.  Very cute :-)

Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr. I have an alarm clock that's
covered in fur!

My computer screen has a couple of claw holes in it - it's not so bad.

interesting things to say about Re: Sophie hates my new monitor:

Felix couldn't care less about mine. Ava thinks monitors exist to warm
birdies. :-)
