Frank has thought up a new way to brainwash me. When I go to bed, he
comes up and lays down on the pillow next to me. Then he presses his
forehead hard against mine and purrs so that I can feel the vibrations
entering my frontal lobes. What do you think he is trying to make me do?
Or maybe I'm doing it already and don't realise.

That's kind of neat. Pearl is my loudest purrer. I would love it if she did
that.

Frank doesn't even purr very loud, but when his forehead is pressed hard
against mine, it *feels* loud. ;o)

Laku doesn't purr very loud either, whereas Nico purrs like a power
drill... :)

"Get your lazy butt up and feed me" :)

Awwwww..... why, it's the famous Kitty Mind Meld, of course. "My mind,
to your mind. My thoughts, to your thoughts".

You talking to a cat or to a Horta? ;)

There's a difference??? Jake would happily eat his way through a wall,
and he's a highly intelligent and gentle creature with strong nurturing
instincts. And he's strong and beautiful, to boot! (Hey, Hortas were
beautiful... to other Hortas.)
Nina, also showing her age and trying to remember which of the ST books
had the Horta cadet -- Diane Carey's, maybe?

Hmmm. I just remember a Horta in the Next Generation book where they study
the Dyson sphere, but I haven't read many of the TOS books.

Dang. Just read that one (again), too. Cadet "Rock". <chuckle> It
was the one where Dr. McCoy allowed himself to be captured by the
Romulans/Rihannsu (depending on who you ask) in order to rescue an
undercover operative. <me, a ST geek, why yes - sometimes - why do you
ask?>

Perhaps Frank is one of the rare "furry Vulcans" Both are aloof and ,
can be undemonstrative, and have pointed ears--think about it. =o) Or
maybe Frank's just experimenting with hypnosis, wondering if Hoomins
make good subjects. Or perhaps you're already trained, Marina, and
Frank is just reinforcing his controls. =o)

Which translates into "get up and feed me you lazy bum." What's scarier
is that he can also do it in Horta.

You'll never know. You'll just think it was *your* idea. ;)

How sweet! Or is it diabolical? ;-)
