Did you survive the wild winds, icy temepratures and blizzards?
The news said that 12 people had died as a result of the wild weather in
Northern Europe. Hopeing you & your masters are OK.
That with the floods in the USA and the bushfires here in Oz (In South
Australia, nowhere near any Aussie posters I know of), it seems the world's
weather has truly gone mad.

glad to hear you or anyone else we know are not near those bushfires.
7 were killed here in Sweden directly from the strong winds, trees falling
on cars and other stuff, a couple of more lives lost in the aftermath. there
are more trees down than ever at least in the last 100 years (Sweden has
quite a lot of forest) After the winds hit during last weekend some train
lines are still not opened but filled in with buses. Smaller roads and
electric lines still not cleared (we still have a lot of electricity lines
"in the air", with loss of power also phone services have been affected).
They are evacuating elderly and sick that are without electricity, in some
areas. Some places will be without electricity for weeks.
The worst weather here hit the south of Sweden, where I live but I am still
away for holidays up north so I didn't see it.
Denmark also got it quite bad, Estonia and Letvia too were they also lost
elecetricity supply for a majority of people.
I know strong winds are expected again tomorrow, Norway to take the worst
this time, not as strong winds as before but still storm.
I think the UK had some flooding?
and it's been coming down hard in Californa too? Not to mention in some of
the tsunami stricken areas ...
wild weather all around it seems ...
purrs for all

There have been some mudslides in Southern California, due to heavy
rains. It has been raining almost daily on an intermittent basis since
December 26th, and it has been what passes for cold, around here.
(Russians, Swedes, Norwegians, Finns and Danes, and people living near
the Canadian border in the U.S. would all laugh hysterically at what
Californians consider "cold", though.) Next to the Tsunami victims,
we're fine. Except for people whose houses are somewhat farther
downhill than they used to be. But it seems like the world weather is
throwing fits at large numbers of people in different places. Kinda
scary.

Thanks for your concern. The next gale force winds (under 23 m/s)/storm
winds (25 m/s) are expected in the Baltic Sea and Archipelago during
this following night and tomorrow. The winds will be strong also over
land, but not as severe as on the sea. Vantaa is about 30 km (abt 20
miles) inland, north of Helsinki.

I think this is unusually fierce. And yes, I wish I could stay indoors,
but my boss might disagree if I called her and told her I won't be
coming to work due to the wind... :) The winds are actually not *that*
fierce inland, like where I'm at, but still my extra pounds actually
come in handy now, as they anchor me more firmly onto the ground. :D

Yep, a grey kitty is easier to photograph than a black one. Besides Laku
doesn't like being photographed and Nico doesn't seem to mind that much.
I've got quite a few I haven't uploaded yet too, of both kitties
actually. Will do it as soon as I find the time.

Hey! Yeah! Aww, he's a gorgeous little boy. LOL about the washbasin.
What is it with cats and washbasins? Nikki likes to lie in them too.

It was certainly a wild night, I thought at one point that the windows were
going to blow in, but we escaped with nothing worse than a few tiles lost
from the roof. Three people dead in Carlisle though, which was very badly
flooded, and about 100 miles north of here.
