I went with my friend Kristin and her son to the humane society yesterday to
look at kitties -- she and her family are feeling really needy without
Dexter.  We spent about 3-1/2 hours there in the the cat room!  I had my
volunteer badge on and ended up working with an amazing parade of people who
came in looking for cats.  What was wonderful was that there were a lot of
very nice people who adopted while I was there!  I even think the fact that
I could take the cats out of the cages and help the people with them helped
get some adopted.  Three kittens and three adult cats got homes during that
time!  Kristin and her son liked several cats a lot but the kitty for them
just did not stand out, so eventually we left.  Then we went to a satellite
humane society facility at the nearest Petsmart and looked at a few more.  I
think we were all on cute cat overload by the time we left.  Will keep ya'll
posted.

Kudos on helping with adoptions. I'm sure their OneTrueKitty is out there
somewhere.
